You think this is a review, don’t you? You should know better haha. I decided to host a Murder Mystery night at my house for my little group of running friends. I thought they would just go through the motions. I didn’t expect anyone to get serious but they did. Obviously I’m talking about getting into character, not actually murdering someone. I chose the characters they were to play π
The day got nearer and people began to say what they were wearing. I realised I would actually have to up my game a little. My character was Dr I. Fumble. I thought this would give me some scope π

So the scene was set, the table laid, dinner prepared (Prawn cocktail, Beef Bourguignon and Black Forest Gateaux) and the body… well the body had been murdered!

It kinda struck me that I looked a little strange and I do so love a costume change. So, with a little ad-libbing into the script, along came Detective Beecham, narrator and a sort of sleazy Hutch, from Starsky and Hutch. Not only did he fancy himself he appeared to fancy every other person in the room. Anyaways, the evening was full of laughter and let’s face it we all need that.

Amidst all this madness, there is still fun to be had, friends to entertain, goals to be achieved, races to be won. (or lost… shhh!) It doesn’t matter what your situation is always look for joy. And remember love is always in the air, somewhere. Have a fabulous weekend my friends. And the winner is….. Tadaaa!

Miss Sierra Tango, she was the only police officer character but also worked out who the murderer was. Strangely enough it was the Butler
What a lot of fun that looked to be, Charlie. I love that everyone got into character! And the food..!
Yum!
So did the poor murder victim have to stay slumped over the desk for long?

It was a real laugh, Carolyn π The victim stayed there all night. But one of the girls popped in for a coffee on Sunday so I moved it into the toilet. Could here the scream for a few miles ππ

You look great in denim, Charlie, just toss that wig. π€ I hope the victim got to eat. Yummy menu.

Aww, thanks, Mary. Yes the wig was actually driving me crazy π The poor victim was sadly murdered before dinner. He missed the Beef bourguignon, which was a Julia Childs recipe. I was inspired by the film, Julie and Julia π

Hahah this looks like a very cool shindig! I love the Dr Fumble outfit, you do creepy a little too well in that one π I’m glad you all had a good time, we need a little more lightness in times like this. I’ve never been to a Murder Mystery evening but I’d deeeefinitely want to try it as an amateur detective myself. Ok, so not officially, but I watch and read a bucket load of detective stuff and American crime thriller so I’m pretty much fully trained by now. xx

Thanks, Caz, yes it was a hoot. One of the girls bought it for my birthday this year so, it was an ideal opportunity to try it out. So, youβre a young Miss Marple then? Or more a Cagney or Lacy? π

Perfect opportunity to make use, aye.
I see myself more as an FBI agent, actually. I watched too much X-Files as a very small kid.

Hah, I used to like X Files but it wasnβt exactly the plots that attracted me π. I could see you in Ms Andersonβs role π

Dude. Hutch was a blonde. You look more like a drunken Bono, doing an impersonation of a stoned Keith Richards. π§π³π€ͺ
Looks like fun. The food certainly sounds good.

That would work, too. The shades are definitely Bono…or Yoko. πππΆ
