Managing to Stay Positive

Yup a strange title under the present circumstances. And it’s quite hard to do. Especially this last week as the Achilles has gone again. But, I am prepared this time so lots of physio, Yoga and strength exercise.

One thing I have found is that people have become much more important. I’ve discovered a love for them. (Well some of them๐Ÿ˜‚) In the past it was so easy to take people for granted but, as they say, you don’t miss something until it’s been taken away. ๐Ÿ˜

Luckily I am generally a happy person but this situation has made me happier. That is probably the rebel in me. If you want me to do something? Tell me I can’t do it lol. Tell me I can’t have something? I will fight tooth and nail to have it. I think that makes the achievement much more precious. So when I’m surrounded by strife I will automatically try and fill the world with joy.

That’s where Sooty came in. He was just so off the wall to everything else that was happening. Apart from that, don’t watch the news, read the newspapers or listen to the bloke at work that says, “It’s all fake, and a world government/oligarch conspiracy.” I connect with people everyday, it may only be online but hey, they are still people. And of course I have you wonderful folks on here. So yeah it’s a crap time but my blood is still warm xxx

Can we talk about your guitars?

Meaning you write some posts about them and your favorite music, how you learned to play, your early and later influences and all of that. ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. I expect cheerfulness from Americans because they all have the Pollyanna gene but I thought better of a man from Yorkshire. It won’t do, you know, it won’t do at all. You’ll be developing scruples and good taste next. You’re probably just weak after the injury. I will send telepathic messages of support and hope you return to normal as quickly as possible. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, Charlie, I truly appreciate what you’ve said.
It’s definitely the ‘people’ in life that make it all worthwhile. Since November/December we were able to return to some dance socials. Wow; hadn’t we missed them. Yes, we’d missed the dancing, but it was the people we’d really missed.
