Relieving Anxiety for a Little bear

There are some people who believe I have far too much time on my hands! I started these little Sooty videos originally because my Face Book feed was bombed with fake and real news stories, shared by people who hadn’t actually read them but felt the need to comment upon the sensationalist headlines.

This, I felt was just causing undue anxiety and worry. So initially the idea was to show the effect sensationalism can have on the more sensitive people in our society. Strangely enough it does seem to be calming down now. Although I doubt this has anything to do with Sooty. This final video was simply to get people laughing, hope you can at least smile. By the way that’s not my real hair and I grew the beard simply to emphasize the issue of lock down. Be safe my friends xx

  1. Another classic Charlie. Did the job and made me smile. I am, however, shocked, devastated and disillusioned to learn that this is not your real hair!

Well, I am definitely smiling, Charlie; but, am a little disturbed by the ease of your delivery. Have you been hiding this talent under a bushel? Do you intend going ‘public’ with Sooty? Will The Princess really come to give a hand? These questions, and many more, are lurking in the background of this video.
Come clean, Charlie. What are your real motivations!!! 😊 😊 😊

    • Haha, Sounds like the end of a 1960’s Batman episode πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Maybe my mum would have the answer. β€œIgnore him he always shows off when he has an audience” I was only 5 πŸ˜‚ Thanks for your lovely input, Carolyn xx

Charlie, on a serious note – I don’t watch, read or listen to anything regarding the serious current world condition that doesn’t stem from ‘facts’. World news broadcasts, in the main, from the reputable and known news outlets concentrate on these facts, and I want to remain informed. Lack of knowledge, and/or gossip and poorly obtained and spread information, I believe, leads one down a very shaky road.

No more videos?? But I love these! You’ve done brilliant raising spirits and giving people a reason to giggle, so thank you for your efforts. The question is, what’s next? πŸ˜‰

Have a relaxing, safe weekend. I would say β€˜behave Sooty’ but I’m pretty sure he never will! πŸ˜‚

  5. I’m afraid that my two main character traits – Luddism and miserliness – mean that I don’t have a computer with sound or decent memory so I haven’t been able to do your recent efforts justice. However, a man of your talents, when let loose with a bear and a beard cannot fail to cheer and despite the silent and jerky nature of the videos on my computer they still made me smile.

Ans when future generations ask “Where did you put your hand in the Great Epidemic, Charlie?” I’m sure Sooty will look suitably coy.

    • Haha, you always make me smile, pal. I’m glad it still worked without the sound but at least you missed the expletive from Sooty! Hmmm… I already been asked why I have a Sooty puppet in the first place, sadly the answer is a trifle boring, I bought it when I started FaceTime with my 2 year old granddaughter, she showed as much interest as I would in a Physics lesson, still I go found a use πŸ˜‚
