Anyone typing ‘Naughty Blogger’ into their rather seedy Search Bar hoping for stockings and suspenders are going to be hugely disappointed.
By naughty I mean lapsed, one comment already from the delightful Angel at https://watchyourlifeinpictures.wordpress.com/ left me feeling all chastised and ever so humble, 😘 I’ll try and explain. The Siege of Mr Khan’s Curry Shop (the novel what I did write) has been edited by the very talented Esther Newton https://esthernewtonblog.wordpress.com/ Her feedback was fabulous, but a lot of work is required so next week was going to be my last post as I threw every spare moment into a final rewrite 😩.
Before I could throw myself upon my pen and the ink of my blogging soul seeped into the sand I realised that Further Education is a crock of poo (didn’t want to write ‘shit’ in my blog) I could go on, but that would be boring, ask the Princess she’s been listening to it for years.
So tomorrow I will resign and from January I will be a full time writer. I’ve always said. “If you really believe and have faith in something then it will happen.” Looks like it’s test time once more. I don’t know, the things I do just to get a blog post out 😘
Good luck.

Oh my goodness! Wow Charlie!!! Good on you my friend.
I do sincerely look for your posts on the weekends just to get a good read about one of your memories or what’s going on in your current life there across the pond. You just have the best way of telling a story.
You’re a writer my friend!

This is amazing! I want to say ‘follow your dreams’ but I happen to think that’s a crock of shit, too. Seriously though, I think you will make an excellent writer but for selfish reasons, please keep blogging, even if only here and there to update us on your adventures. Good luck with the editing!!

Good luck is a fraction of what you are going to need, so I wish you fortitude, a thick skin and a never-ending supply of humour too.Let us know when it’s out as I’d buy it just for the title. 🙂

Haha, thanks, only took about 2 years for the title to emerge, but I remember that I read The Curious Case of the Dead Dog in the Night purely from the title 😂

I feel the titles may be a more accurate reflection of some books than the publisher’s blurb.

All the best! Curiosity hit me now… why Mr. Khan?

Mr Khan left India during Partition to go to Bradford where he has an Indian Restaurant, but in Bradford in the 70’s the locals called Indian restaurants ‘curry shops’ 😉

it will be interesting to see how it turn up. characters essayed in the Mind Your Language series are my favorite. By the way, editors are out my reach but I would like working with them.
